INFORMATION THE CHILD SAFETY GAMES TOOL KIT |

These 15 fun card games teach automatic safety thought responses to dangerous and potentially dangerous situation. The dangers covered are? Click on the game title to see a sample of the ten critical safety instructions taught in each of the 15 games (total = 150 critical safety teachings).
The SAFETY TEST CD
There are 150 safety responses taught in the 15 games. On the Safety Test CD, we have recorded the first part of each response with a 5 second delay before the second part. This corresponds to the breaks in the games.
For example, one of the 150 would be read as follows:
If someone threatens you if you tell what he or she did to you, be . . .
[after
a second pause the instruction is finished so your child
can see if he or
she is correct or can learn it more thoroughly]
If someone threatens you if you tell what he or she did to you, be . . .
.
. . brave and tell someone you know who will protect you.
After kids have played the games a number of times, they should listen to the CD in your presence and try to complete the safety responses. Even if they cannot, listening to them over and over will provide more instruction so that they can come to mind automatically when a dangerous situation presents itself.
