The Creation of Mankind was for God's Glory through Battle

That easy battle in the Garden of Eden has become a continual battle against sin and evil within us and in our world. It is a battle for us to fight together. We must remember that! Satan will chew us up and spit us out if we try to go up against him alone.

It is very difficult to get this point across with Scripture in English translations. The English language does away with singular-plural distinctions. Take James 4:7 ("Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee form you."). All words are plural. The English language and its resultant unholy independent attitude blinds us from the truth that we must submit ourselves to God together and together resist.

And that great passage on the armor of God found in Ephesians 6:10-18 is also all in the plural. (If you want to check this out for yourself, you have to learn Greek or read the King James Version - not the new one - where "ye" and "you" are always plural and "thee" and "thou" are always singular.) We take our stand against the devil's schemes - together!
